in the pages of my poetry book
I find you pressed to love poems
when I untangle you, you resist
I too lie down beside you
submerging myself into the pages
the press of you into me
unleashes my hinges
the musty smell of poetry
embraces us both
I close the book enclosing us,
open into you impusively
lost in the mazes of the pages
Trick or treat!" they shouted as the door opened...
within the book we were both a treat, no tricks

Saturday Centus: Trick or treat!" they shouted as the door opened...
Sounds like you have a boyfriend, LOL! Vividly described, Gautamy.

You are a true poet; your words usually take my hand, leading and guiding me and sometimes I am simply left to watch as your poetry does a gentle dance.
ReplyDeletesounds a bit erotic . very nice .
ReplyDeleteI used to manage a bookstore that had an upstairs mezzanine. I often wondered about customers who would go directly to that space and not come down for an hour or two, thinking they might somehow be diving into a book and living inside it's pages. You did that with your poem in such a wonderful way. Thank you for that,
ReplyDeleteElizabeth
