patched flashback

appliques on my quilt
are a tapestry
my mom has written a story or more in patches
I have tried to unthread it
the needle pierced my thumb
mom gloated over it

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why don't you try something in 160 characters? Space included!
  2. I guess that Mom's sharp needle brought you back to the here and now. Moms are good for that.
  14. I love the idea of patched together stories that bring warmth long after being sewn together. Were you attempting to unravel it so you could put your version in there? With your explanation above, she's got good reason to gloat. Wonderful piece,
    Elizabeth
