leafy tales

"the vibrancy gone forever
it is what you assume.
but I embrace the ground
as this is what will renew me-
brave. heroes. forgotten."
whispers the leaf to me.

I ponder over the words
chew them with wisdom
think, of my bent  form
in my twilight years
dying with as much dignity
I get out of curiosity of pains

"whithered physical shape of leaves
teach me spirituality"

    "but I embrace the ground
as this is what will renew me-"

Understated and yet powerful, moving poetry.
