weathered

it toppled over-
I placed it against the wall
that redness enhanced by drabness
which hides a story or two
I investigate for clues

"who hid you away from me?"

oblivion

drowned in spark,
oblivious of silence;
trapped in smolder
of mindless fire
sky rains diamonds

which fleetingly show their face
and fly away to another planet

snaky tales

total darkness
pitch black
which contains eternity
their eyes merge after a while
heat shakes the hearts
slippery slithering bodies
of snakes entangle in knots

timed out

I paper walls
hiding hideous marks
left over from a time we lost
I like crinkled finish
bubbles formed under paper

do we ever find time,
why we say we lost it?

much

it was love at first sight
that's what I thought.
I anticipated much-
river of emotions
to flow in between.

"but he was so enthralled by
friday night football"

unspoken

I wrote that headline in my note book
you tore it
lonely page wandered
bereft of energy
a joke you said
I know better

music is the only language you understand

unhinged

I hammered nails
yet the door was askew
you shook it from its hinge
to make Plan B work
instead of door
we have a curtain

now everyone is amused by our innards

thigh high

I declare open war
why don't you buy me a car
controls vibrate my thigh
In the autumn I feel high
if you think that's swell
I would settle for diamonds as well

invasion

you are not here-
you are here
my notebook knows
invisible words form there
emotions jump all over
spilling into my space

you invaded it,
now refuse to let go

stalling

I rubbed cream into my hands-
I felt marginalized
before the time to say goodbye
descended on me

If I die young,
I do not wish for my skin
to look shipwrecked

egg on

gravity. a spat or a splat
eggs us on.
shells, half broken
tell a tale-
uncomfortable in that skin,
gravity grounds everything.

'I feel such a palpable relief'

loads

corner inspects my departure,
shift in an aperture
my shadow wraps a scarf
I shiver in the cold
I watch a boy pick a nickle
Only then I start counting galaxies

Confetti of time

photographer Rosie Hardy

a phantom of myself
blowing away cobwebs of time
I ponder in  midst of confetti
scattered by unknown forces
I'm not getting any younger

I am lost in 14-inch TV

scrolled

rough notes
fragment of snatched words
unspoken yet loud
I find on that bench
in a hollow pipe
you left that scroll aeons ago
and the sign read thus

silence

gravitational pull

"I want to sizzle with you in the beach"
when I uttered those words-
you turned towards me,
those glorious eyes examined me

"then I disappeared into a crater"

radiating rays

I expect you to walk out
towards light
radiating rays go outwards
never to converge
I watch acrid summer
paving a way for you

"come walk out from that photo"

fruits dance on the walls

in a blind alley
I find fruits
dancing with each other
drinking their health
butterfly steps out
when bees sting
I write graffiti
on walls

"do knock it down"

if only he could see behind

the wall was built long ago
he sat in front of it
tried to look sad
he missed sounds, shadows
his muted form
saw it slipping through fingers-
willed it to stop

ass/u/me

you are NOT me
you said. rightly so.
I assumed it all
looking in the mirrored image
inverted it is, I forgot.
the end is so numbing

I don't feel pain anymore

guise of a smile

those vibes emanating from him
were evil guised as good
I sensed it in his rambling
he being your friend
I ignored my inner warning

he almost destroyed us both
