tipsy fingers play footsie

hand on my hand
evidence of strength.
smooth sensuality changes gear
subtle shift of bare sensations
rest in the small of my back
light touches of the fingers
ignite the skin,
refresh volatile thoughts.
will it last
that bare white emotion
nine is only a number
gassed into bits
five is my destiny
when I enter your mind again
after eight hours
my hand, your fingers
banter with each other,
then coming into their element,
play the erotic dance
rawness of which amazes me still

"taming the toes was never a duty,
why then I curl my feet?"

alley and valley

music in my mind
flows into yours
intermingling both of us

love clutches my belly

I want to know why
the heart feels that flutter
while I learn you with my body

love clutches my belly

in the essence of you
I fall into overwhelming depths
to rise again to the fore

love clutches my belly

if it goes on like this
I will make that my banner
and post it in an alley

a mute question

I mold myself
is it viable-
what you ask of me?
tall order
a promise
extracted from my soul
would I let go-
a mute question
you can cut a part of whole
you don't see gasp of horror

I find you again, and again,
lose you every other day
to what, I know not

unbrushed

on a monday morning,
I see that girl rushing out
and watch her slip on the sidewalk
and a boy catch her slowly
or maybe I see it in slow motion
I too slip, and the paint splashes
on the walls, falling on ground

I had picked the rollers
out of the garbage,
to roll on the bare walls
to cover the evidence
of our raw tactility
to give it a semblance

"now watching the boy and the girl, I want it all open"

hand in hand

Picture Credit: Reymundo

I lay my hand
on back of yours
letting my lifeline surge into you
invisible to us all,
those lines tell a tale
only to the skin

each little mark
mingles with other
my palm turns
towards yours
our palms silently speak
of their illicit love affairs

"I pen the words, to put on yours"

ignition point

I ask you
where is the fire?
you say look around
it is in the air that surrounds you-
in the intimacy of two of us
we hold it in the palm of our joined hands.

when these words touch me
I feel a slow burn on my skin
knowing fire is not for away.

" I am burned before I reach the ignition point"

misty dew

I touch the dewdrops
close my eyes tight
wish for those to surround me

I taste my fingers
each dewdrop tastes like elixir
I collect some in my palm

sprinkle those on that window
watching droplets scatter
on that window in a pattern

I slowly rub the dewdrop on you.
when it penetrates your skin
you swiftly turn towards me

rose misted droplets on that glass
covers your curved back
while you cover me with you

musty scents will set me free

I look at you both-
entwined in the throes of love,
musty scents of which reaches out to me.
I envy you, your freedom-
your free spirits mingled with each other.
oblivious of my staring,
you are lost in the vast space of each other.
each of your pores incite me
but I am trapped in my smile.

"maestro made me a legend,
giving me glass eyes"

Mona Lisa by Da Vinci does not need any introduction. Her smile has fascinated many, and few cynics think of it as fake. But everyone has some kind of reaction after looking at the painting, her smile. I think of her as a trapped soul. This is a raw work, needs to be edited. I will eventually get around that.

dissolved

let me hold your tiredness
and those troubling thoughts
you have, will disappear.
I will dissolve all those in a chemical
of my own making,
the scent of which will engulf us.
I will add our combined forces
so that no negative thing pitches out

"I will attune it all to flow smoothly between us"

ransom

your green eyes beguile me
with a hint of a smile
vast sea behind you cannot diminish your aura

that mind stretches mine to limits
that voice pushes me beyond me
yet I only see that defined chin

my cerebral nature has turned verbal
intellectual into sensual
I seriously pretend to be casual

I pick up the sensitivity
gently hold it to me
let essence of senses take over me

"the mafia that is you holds me to ransom"

sinning through the skin

totally relaxed, I cling to you
my arms creep around you
but you clutch me tight
knowing I need that aftermath
our heightened senses linger in the room
golden hue of fantasy has become a reality
I again touch your glistening skin
you steal away my shallow breath

"I stay alive breathing through your skin"

under the shadow of a pine tree

she plants love
waits for the roots to go deep down
when a bud shoots up
she searches for more

she digs deeper
finds her crumpled up list.
of resolutions that she had made long time ago
she can't talk much.

tiny leaves from that seeds of love
might right her flawed patience
she appears calmed on the surface
but a typhoon goes on and on

under the shadow of a pine tree,
her love can be nurtured
with an embrace painted with feeling
while she watches her transient feet

"winds cannot blow anything away if roots are firm"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wish you all a very Happy New Year. May your muse be always kind and let your words flow and spill over!!
who hid that story for us to find
gaps bolted to metal-
I search for nuts
dropping the key,
while you align walls.
I move that metallic eyesore,
paring dirt-
we find a hidden era,
in an unbelievable quiet.
when I lock it up again
we turn around
to see something,
maybe for the last time
"I savour that thread which ties us"
destined wanderings
going from one place to the other
each day, every passing day
he longs for the complacent days
to feel the morning entering his bones
turning into lazy afternoons
and cozy evenings
to meet his friends
to walk the sidewalks
to ponder over the lake
when the chug of the train
bring hims to his destination
he walks the asphalt
and sees her at the window
a book in her hand
but a pause in her demeanour
when their eyes meet
she disappears from his vision-
at the door she ruffles his hair
"when he encloses into her, he finds in her, his lucidity"
plateau
in the bin of tangled up holiday,
lights switch off all by themselves.
my fingers cut into my palm
but I search for my platinum ring.
in the darkness
when a soft breath moves against me;
I push it to the plateau
of shaking rattle of my body.
I fill the leaks,
while you free me with your tenseness.
"when my solitaire falls to ground, my plateau becomes a mountain"
retrieval
how does one retrieve you
from wherever you have gone
shall I serenade ballads
or sing sopranos
maybe you like opera
none of those are my talents
poetry is what is latent
I can't write similes
but seasonings of metaphors
can garnish it well
a few words from you
I can weave into my tapestry
thinking of it as embroidery-
(if you wish I can put numbers)
so help me retrieve you
bits and pieces
if you check through carefully
you will find scattered pieces
all over your house.
they belong to me
a tarnished coin
(you had picked it for me from a roadside)
a roll of scotch tape
(almost finished),
a tiny pair of scissors
(you clipped your nails with that)
half finished bar of soap
(that lavender scent drove you crazy)
a chipped mug with my zodiac sign
(Aries love the Ram!)
torn piece of a tissue with my poetry
(a mushy love poetry, I cringe I wrote that)
"I want those all, along with the chunk of me
that you never realized you had"
a postcard
in today's world of emailing
I send you a postcard
my e-words are tactile
but I send more concrete
as you are aware
words do get lost in the cyber world
but my postcard you can touch,
savour or even inhale
those crooked words speak
(if you read between the lines),
of my recondite emotions
mirror at crossroads
immense resolutions
shimmer in the cauldron
steam arises out of it
I say I want to grow young with you
never old, exploring
everything new that we can
not just each other, but beyond-
the crossroads are my destinations
intersections are yours
with my finger tips
I trace out the steam off the mirror
while you watch the effect of it on me
"are you not pleased that we are both children in that image?"
totality
in stillness of night
if you persist
in being that close to me;
I will have to find
a way to plunge myself
into your luminous soul
I only believe in totality
