she is at the mercy of her mirror
an antique before
an antique before
now a broken piece
polish gone awry
yet it beholds her
she relishes her image
(I pity her)
an image as broken as the mirror
both wait for an oracle
one animate, another inanimate
"mirror and her are yin and yang"
I pity her too, I prefer to stay far away from my mirror.
ReplyDeleteI have never been a fan of the mirror myself. Interesting and thought-provoking write.
ReplyDeleteThe person in the mirror is a poor choice for a love affair. Some can't resist though. You crafted this very well. Vb

ReplyDeleteClearly she is delusional. the mirror and I are enemies! Beautifully written piece.
ReplyDeleteMirror and her are yin and yang. I think this can be true for many, especially if moods are involved!
