hidden

the furniture, they know my secret
deep in their belly,
they hide my amber scarf
I have looked for it everywhere
found spots of soups
we used to share
and a single coin
few beads
your gold cuff link
I found a breath too
yours or mine
I can't say

"do store in Pandora's box"

  3. The personification of the couch is well done; and the reference to Pandora's Box fitting when considering memories.

  5. Wonderful and creative! Just like walls, if only the couch could talk...

  6. That explains so much! I'll check my couch and see if it ate my long term memory (as well as my spare time).

  12. Very nice! Let's hope the couch never talks! Does it take socks from the dryer too?

  13. Oh how true! I love it, specially the reference to the legendary Pandora - if we hope, we will always find because of the indestructibility of matter.

  17. It's enough to make you think twice about sticking your hand down between the pillows, isn't it?

  19. Sorry about your amber scarf. I bet it ran off with my first vocal recorder, my long green sock, and my brother's first piggy-bank, the latter which went missing in 1969.

  22. Nice, and if your furniture is at all like mine, it's probably also hiding a single sock or two. :) Loved the bit about finding a breath and not knowing whether it's "yours or mine" - something deeply sensual about this, I think...

  23. Very enjoyable...and what would the amber scarf say if ever found?

  24. I liked the pathos in the situation.

but as a person with major foot in the mouth syndrome...this can actually be a scary situation to be in, for me. :p

  25. What is it about the strange appetites of sofas? This captures a strange truth very well.

  26. Voracious appetite indeed! And they have swallowed my remotes, phones and even laptop power cords. Nice work.

  27. I really like the simplicity of this one - the images are little capsules of a relationship.
