"pardon me," said Tom T. Urkee,
my nearest neighbor,
"I could only save this journal."
"thanks, that is all I need,"

  1. I knew this was going to be an interesting week. I would save my laptop, because that is where I keep all of my writing. Nice use of the prompt! Kat

  2. Our house burned down when I was three. I have often wondered what my parents would have rescued if they had a chance. Me? I agree with Kat. Grab that laptop and run!

    Good writing. Thanks..........cj

  7. Loving the variety this week! I would save my journals too, except I'd need a few boxes. I suppose I should gather them...

  14. Marvelous writing -- penned so well in an economy of words, with feeling and emotions of the poem still intact.
