lost in a maze

a place I don't recognize-
I try hard to do that
I am stuck in there
in the midst of nowhere
when I try to take a step forward
I go four steps backwards
I am lost in the maze-
a maze of my own making

"can you please chart an escape route for me?"

  3. i was just playing hide and seek in a hedge maze the other day with a kid i work with...this though made me think of the mazes we create in our own minds...

  8. I think we all have been there, done that, as they say...Sometimes walking backwards actually gets you out, others, you do need a map.

  9. Gautami,

Read all pending poems. You really convey your feelings in depth even in 55ers. After reading the end lines of each, I have a feeling there is something more to it than you show. Hope all is well, if not please do share.

    Take care

  11. Climb up on top. You'll be able to see over the maze, perhaps even walk on top of it and you'll be out before you know it.

Hey, you *knew* I'd be advocating for climbing! Always go for the high ground.

  21. First you need a minotaur, then you need a clue of thread. Of course, Theseus as a guide wouldn’t hurt either.

  22. Reach out your hand until you touch the wall. Walk forwards. Never lose contact with the wall, no matter how convoluted your path. You WILL come out at the other end. Try it, you will be amazed.

  27. Sometimes decisions can lead to maze of our doing, well, at times I'd feel a bit that way. ☺ Hope you found the way out!
