I see bridges and dams
the ones we create in our mind
had it been reflected in the sky
I would have asked the clouds
to gift it to me
but the foam you see here
is not real
the nearly blue colour
makes it appear like a sky on earth
but the vastness of it can't be contained
although we can the contain the Universe
within our mind,
where the miniscule space becomes limitless
"someone please let me know,
who poured liquid glass into water?"
Beautiful image and beautiful words!
ReplyDeleteAlmost overwhelming to think of the space of the world..the sky and the water..maybe we created bridges, dams and water to try and understand..and control such vastness..as inspired as ever..Jae
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I really enjoyed this. :-)
ReplyDeleteGautami,
ReplyDeleteYour economy with words impresses me. This could be a comment on an art work, or on art as an expression of mental creation, or on the relative inadequacy of (even) beautiful, accidental nature.
"From here the solidity into which all juices find their comfortable containment"

I like the thought that the bridges and dams...we creat in our mind...reflected in the sky. I like your poem today.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gautami for constant delight..I am thinking on the question ..perhaps poured by the one who created them both...
ReplyDeleteThis is impressive and it paints a beautiful image

Love this beginning! Well done!
Quite a beautiful piece, Gautami.

Great interpretation of your own view of how space and liquids go about... loved this!
ReplyDeleteAgain, able nature- and cosmic-centric work. Nailed it. =)
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful take on the picture.
ReplyDeleteAnita.
Sometimes the vast seems inexplicable and sometimes the minuscule but it is the creativity of our mind that makes us wonder. A great post to ponder on.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of limitless connected with our minds and the flow of liquid glass at the end.
ReplyDeleteThis is so eloquent. I especially love "the nearly blue colour makes it appear like a sky on earth". What gorgeous imagery!
