eating away at the guts----Totally Optional Prompts

lodging in the crevices

deeply embedded
multiplied by leaps and bounds
virus engulfs the body-
thriving by depleting
it of its strength.
when weakness hits hard,
it is already too late
to get rid of the parasites
which take their own sweet time
to eat away at the guts
before attacking another victim.

"that's their job, I suppose"

Update(May 2, 2008): I have not been attacked by any virus. I am HALE and Hearty!

  5. Ah, but if we don't invest more in our space program we shall not be able to get to another victim

  7. I should be grossed out, but I'm so glad you're back online that I'm loving this. Besides, you describe it well and it's NOT gross.

  11. Interesting, gautami. I dislike being a host to a virus. I know it's their job, but it's my job to flush them out of my body! A great interpretation of cowbirds!
