dance of the zeroes

baked in the hot sun
ripe like a pineapple
I moisten my dry lips
summer hates me

zeroes dance in front of my eyes
I plant myself in deep pit
hose my feet while pots jump

stream of thoughts flow like silk
I have blown those away
cars zoom past
I let flies trouble me

the shadows form a shade around me

I kind of let go of my mind and the following came into being. Sometimes there is some sort of sense in the seemingly nonsense. I had not done this for a while now. What is it, you and I have to decipher. However for now, read on for whatever it is worth......

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
lotus-posed I sit on a chair
the cool harmattan breeze that comes through every opening in the house flirts with me
I wish to know its ploy in its wake
the sun is setting in the sky and the shadows form a shade around me
I am now like melting snow, tilting towards the puddle of memory
the sun fades away giving in to darkness by the time I close my eyes
I crash to the ground with a loud bang, and a cloud of dust rises in my stead
all night I roll from one end of the floor to the other
in the dawning light I run out to nowhere
stunning exit, wouldn't you call it?
foundations of wonder-------unpoem
Come join the train! Click the icon to reach there.
illusion shatters fragile
glass of courage, breaking
foundations of wonder
leaving nothing to ponder
about, other than staring
straight ahead. tactile
feelings are light and agile;
trajectory of which is moving
beyond house of yonder
still foundations of wonder
hold glass of courage, mending
illusions which were fragile
"now as hard, as strong as diamonds"
Locked in the attic
Suddenly out of nowhere, I started to write this. When my mind said write, I had to. And now I know why..... Poetry, prose, I don't know what to call it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Icicles form on the walls invisible to all but me. I notice because I feel the coldness seep into me. I grab your arm, which is not there. At least not for me. When you speak, I shut myself in savouring the words. Merging it with my thoughts. I have memories of the stupidest things. Like the way you slurp you tea. Or scratch the back of your head. Forgetting the important ones. That is, your plans about our future. Which excludes me.

Regrets. What of it? Words I did say? Or the words you didn't hear? Does it matter? And in what form? Solidified? Out in the open is claustrophobic for me. I can't breath you there. With everything that is beyond me, I did what I could. I did what I had to. Looked at you. With closed eyes. Spoke to you with non-words. Common courtsey compelled you to compromise. If only for a while. You were there talking to me. I was there, not breathing.

In the book I never wrote, you are forbidden territory. Familiarity of it consumes me, splitting my guts. Reality of the imagination is the mirror of my thoughts. Locked in the attic with a rusted lock and non-existent key. Serves me right, wouldn't you say?

trying to find a meaning

anger taking me over
I stomp my feet in the mud
where my sandals come off
getting stuck in the muck
barely conscious, I walk barefoot
with an ashen face and
trip on the faulty road
which saves me from getting hit
by an unknown vehicle travelling
at a high speed from the wrong side

unlinear yet in a line,
unmarked dreams ascend
then stop for no apparent reason
suddenly waking up, I sit down
scared to my wits, yet unharmed
for a while I stare at the wall
comprehending nothing

in someway, somewhere in that dream
you can designate a semblance of order

This came out of a dream I had today while taking an afternoon siesta. . Maybe it was a nightmare, I don't know. It was all disjointed. I wrote what I remembered giving it some sort of order. I don't know what to make of it. I mean the interpretation part, not the poetry one. Can anyone? This is another rough draft. I will work on it later.

paring it all down to the basics

I have taken Dave's skeletal work and worked around it. The italicized words are my own. I added a couple of sentences to make sense. For me, this makes a lot of sense. Does it work for you too?

I was dealt a hard blow ,
and startled to do away
with the inevitability of it,
clinging at a day’s approach.
I sawed a lot of the branches
which had blocked out my vision.
just below this tree I have pulled
the eye tooth of a tiger,
round and round,
and I find it somewhat
like glue stuck in my mind,
that does a trick of coins
and that too in ceramic bowls
that never quite broke.
