I create miniscule space-
hide there blissfully
when the walls hit me
I don't feel the pain
where did the walls come from?
I did not build those
I like vast openness
with surprises in between.
minds eye journeys through
obstacles, stops at a corner
to rest and rejuvenate.
thats where I find you, my hero-
with your arms open for me,
a cocoon of love and security
Often we feel smothered, and it's at these times we need the arms of a loved one for comfort.
ReplyDeletehow fantastic to have a love like that.
ReplyDeleteI am stuck between walls, so I really love this...crumbling walls
ReplyDeleteLove the contrast of minuscule space for protection and the freedom of vast space! An interesting piece!
ReplyDeleteLife sometimes causes those walls to be built, even when we don't notice the construction. To find someone special whose love pulls the walls down is indeed a gift in life.
ReplyDeleteYour romantic poetry is always so lovely...

We seem to be on a very similar wavelength today, you went one way, I went another. I really like where you went.

Interesting how you go from walls to arms wrapped around you. Your hero! Indeed, arms feel better than unwanted walls! Lovely!

ReplyDeleteWalls we build can be treacherous. Your poet found a lasting comfort.
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm so late in getting back here, my week was very busy and hectic.
..
Love how the mind in its fluidity overcomes walls we have outgrown.
