crosswires of fires

raging fires-
what is it you really seek?
preponderance-
can it cool you down
re-uniting you with the winds?
flying, fleeting ashes spread far and wide.
in my dreamy world
I too seek the impossibility,
but let it be unspoken for now.
picture it, frame it-
only take it out, when flames die down

  1. Really like the mythology used as a metaphor for "reuniting" with the creative fire within.

  2. In your corsswire of fires, it seems that there is a crosswire of the good and the bad - both have their place - a cleanser and a destroyer! Interesting poem!

  9. "only take it out, when flames die down"

Would it then mean the same thing..? Well, fire rages when wind
    shakes hands with it..

Gautami, every visit on your page makes me think..and that's why it so interesting to be here.

  10. Your poem contains passion and introspection. I think we need to kindle the fire within, in order to have a passion for life. Well said.

  18. At neat poem, Tami. You could fill in the blank with almost any word here? I think even 'Jim' would fit in.
