GRACEFUL WAS NO LONGER IN FASHION

that tattoo was a riot
numbers inscribed in its midst
spoke of decay of a bygone era
GRACEFUL WAS NO LONGER IN FASHION
bygone era gave way to a decayed one
numbers danced with glee
rioting in that tattoo art

  4. Well done.
This reminds me of the new fashion I am seeing people wear on thier bodies...it is a barcode tatoo - scan that one!

  12. Cleverly done! Whatever one's opinion of tattoos, there's no doubt we've lost a lot of the grace of prior eras.

  14. I have to admit I'm not at all sure what the numbers refer to. When I think of tattooed numbers, the image of Nazi concentration camps comes to mind, but I don't believe that's what you were talking about...

  15. Great write. It makes me think possibly the tattoo has the year stamped in there somewhere, someone's memento of whatever bygone era you speak of. Very descriptive, yet leaves much to the imagination.
