blank page soaked
ink bled from that pen smudging the paperskillfully hiding wordswhich he had writtenwith much trepiditionfor you and only youoh well, he feels better for itnow that you can't readall that he wrote for youthose words which splithim apart; now hiddencan mend him somehowalthough he is not awareof it. he is trying to rewriteit unsuccessfully on a blankpage soaked with his tearsagain smugding the paper "paradoxically in a different way"
Sad and true! sometime it is hard to write what you feel.
ReplyDeleteI don't always understand poems, but I really found this quite sad, I felt the sadness in the words
ReplyDeleteLoved this one a lot... well penned...
ReplyDeletethankfully, the comments dont get smudged :)
cheers mate...
That is a very cool poem. A great idea and really well made. I love the way it ends with a 'x' kiss.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the contrast of words reveal and hidden, the same as emotions. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteWhat an emotional piece. Beautifully written and a joy to read.
ReplyDeletenot sure what gingaTao means--did the x at the end get smudged? or does he mean the x in paradoxically?
ReplyDeleteprovocative all round
my thoughts . . .
ReplyDeletethe letters thicken
on the page
Gautami--
ReplyDeleteReally related to this poem. Thank you for it--
This poem demonstrates paradox well.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing it.
O the bleeding ink that stains and blurs with tears.
ReplyDeleteAn excellent paradoxical response.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of skillful ink that somehow undoes its own work! What an interesting idea. Makes me think the ink has a life of its own somehow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful done. I feel this one through and through.
sometimes just the act of writing things out without sharing the words brings such healing & your poem says that to me.
ReplyDeleteLiked it, but felt the whole point lies here:
ReplyDelete"paradoxically in a different way"
wishes!

powerful and emotional... love it
ReplyDeleteHere is a true feeling of hopelessness expressed. The tear soaked paper is so much more lasting than is the fickle 'delete' key.
ReplyDelete..
Very, very poignant. I can feel the image you described.
ReplyDeleteTo me this captures the opposite of a difficulty writing what one feels, but rather the fact that we may easily write what cannot share or even should not share.
ReplyDeleteI like it, there's so much in just something down, even if it can't be read once it is written
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Gautami. I think I've been there!
ReplyDeleteMarvellous, Gautami - as always. I like how the narrator felt freed and relieved when no one could actually read what he'd written. Sometimes art is a dialogue only between the writer and himself or herself.
ReplyDeleteThis just pulled at my heart. Sad and profound.
ReplyDeleteSad but lovely. Well done!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice :)
ReplyDeleteSadly vivid. Paradoxical, indeed!!
ReplyDelete"..the bleeding ink that stains and blurs with tears"_
ReplyDelete"paradoxically in a different way"_
..many thanks for sharing this..
This is loaded! A story of hope triumphing over helplessness, like a window on a stolen moment in time, a nightmare revisited, perhaps!
ReplyDeleteExcellent work!
Yes, words can split us apart but the magic is that they can put us back together, too! Wonderfuly written!
ReplyDeleteLovely blog.So much to read.Would visit it again.Keep writing.
ReplyDeleteVery deep and powerful. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit too. Take care.
OK -- I have no computer skills. For days I've been calling up my shortcut for you and always come to the same post from September 10. "Busy," I think. Sometimes I can't post regularly -- but I know there have been comments. Well, maybe writer's block.
ReplyDeleteI apologize for not visiting the REAL blog -- apparently, I bookmarked a specific post from WOW. Duh.
This is a lovely poem and it's good to see your work again.
Now looking at it...
ReplyDeletei begin to feel...
there's nothing "paradoxical" about anything..It is the way you look at it, no Gautami?
hope you agree and do not remove this, as you did with mine earlier...two three times...
there are people who just read comments too, they say ;-)
wishes!

This was filled with emotion...beautifully sad.
ReplyDelete'those words which split
ReplyDeletehim apart; now hidden
can mend him somehow'
ah the rending power of words!
ah the mending power of words!
this is haunting.
thanx for visiting
