making inroads into I know not what

orbs of your eyes suck me into it
I follow that unknown path
in a zombie like state
making inroads into I know not what
if I could write words on the sky
I would at least try that once
but this untread road is one way street.

"believe me, I don't wish to get out of it"

  1. I don't believe in One-Way streets..you can always turn around and go back.

  3. if the road is still offering you that which is unknown,, i cannot help but feel it is the right one... it is when you know it all and find nothing new,, that one should begin to think about turning around....

    very interesting piece....

  4. Thanks about the tip off re American Sentences. I have rushed to find out more and have even done one. I tend to do Twitters on things I see so have the raw material for this form of poetry. One more step in learning about poetry!

  5. I feel this spoke to me...it speaks to something I am going through right now. It is a one-way street, but for me, one that I suspect I will not want to return from. Thought provoking and profound.

  6. I like this - wondering if one can actually go back, even when the inclination arises.

  7. One way streets can take us to interesting places if we're willing to see what's there. And, if you still like what you're seeing then I say don't worry about leaving. Explore to its depths. Nice job. Have a nice day.

  9. I've known this feeling, myself. There's both fear and excitement with it; I don't want to get out of it, either.

  12. Much as I like visiting places I know, there's always a thrill to discovering new places (of any description).

  14. Have you noticed that time stops on this one way street. How is that we get carried through a space in which time stands still? Great work.
