Gautami,With age, my head has enlarged, and the bigger, the more it wants bigger yet. It's like 'big bang', creating the space that had to be there to make way for itself being created. You are the 'math gal'. Got a good formula?Trulyfool
Gautami,I like the poem. I think my brain is hungry and the more I eat knowledge the less room there is to contain it. Very good!~Ames
Bigger head is always better than a swollen one..If nonsense is not there..nothing will make any sense.. very well captured Gautami.. do have a look at 'dancing verses' my 200th..post.. your feedback would be valuable..thanks!!!
Nice, Gautami. It's a good poem that resonated with me.=)
Nice one Gautami...a swollen head may just push out the good old brain to make space for the nonsense to fill up.....A big head full of brains resting on firm shoulders will surely maintain the balance i think!!
I loved this, nice to read a poem on SC :o)
I keep thinking of what I have just read, and more I think the more I make of it
ha. sometimes i think i need a bigger head...or this one just might explode....
Thank goodness our heads don't grow larger as we age. Nonagenarians would never be able to lift theirs!
Quite interesting...brings to mind the idea of benefits of bigger head, more brains...or not...I liked this...Peace and blessings
Nice use of the prompt, your poetry always makes me think. My head does seem to be full of useless trivia these days, so maybe a larger one would help! Kat
Fill it upnicely done Gautami:)
May it be filled with more and more so we can continue to enjoy what spills over onto your page!
That's all the poetry in your head making it bigger! :)Teri C
As we grow lder our ears and noses keep growing....will that provide the room you need?? Great 160 and thanks for playing along.
I try not to do that, but it seems to be a natural process.
Reminds me of Scarecrow in Oz...if only I had a brain!
This is fine - until you have to find a hat to fit! LOL
Hah! I like this piece! Very clever.
I really enjoyed this as a post in poem form! Great stuff!
A promise in the making. Wishing you always kind and good things to think about and a wonderful new week as well.daily athens
It's a good thing that our minds and heart are able to accomodate what we fill them with, without becoming bigger physically. Good points here Gautami.
This is a really thoughtful poem, the first of yours I have read. I'm pretty new to Saturday Centus, and also generally find short poetry hard to assimilate. Like Kodjo, I'm finding your piece giving me more images and ideas over time. A bleeding wound / rising delirium pending death / the infiniteness of imagination.Thank you.
Hello. I'm at Lucknow. Couldn't find your Saturday Centus but enjoyed reading your poetry.
It's amazing isn't it that once we reach maturity our heads don't get bigger despite all the stuff we fill it with? :0
I loved this...but even a bigger brain wouldn't be enough, some of it will flow over...
Couldn't help but smile at this one, G... whheeww! I know.. that growing head is nothing to smile about... but..well... Now I am wondering if there is any optimal solution to this problem...I wish the junk inside could be replaced with some useful stuff too.. :)
I really like this, especially the start: "With humility." I think we can all relate.xoRobyn
I love the imagery you create from the first verse. Beautiful writing here and nice take on humility.
Nice use of the prompt. I could relate to this as well. Always nice to meet a fellow writer and poet :)~Michelle
HAHAHAHA...very clever...so jealous of those so good at poetry !
Short yes! But the words speak volumes.
I agree with what the5thsister wrote! Nice poem. Great thought of the store of knowlege you have in your brain!Best wishes,AnnaAnna's SC week 40 '...growing bigger...'
