distractingly disjointed

flowers that
we both picked;
sent to me
warped and stained,

stay unwrapped,
precisely like letters-
as from me to you
time has made you

a stranger. maybe I
pretend that so as to
prevent myself from
a predicament, which

is embarrassingly
embracing me even
when I am trying hard
to escape it by ignoring

  6. Embracing while trying to escape by ignoring.

That is so beautiful, so very true.

And I loved your image of the letter beside the poem.

    Very powerful. And very moving.

  15. I really love the haiku-like feel of the first two stanzas, how you "transformed" flowers into letters. Thank you for sharing this piece!

Also, I want to thank you for visiting my poetry journal. :)
