fulcrum of my thoughts

anger spinning out of control
I lash out at you
my face so ruddy
your smug smile incenses me

I find that untidy envelope
gullible words rustle in my ear
I shudder in a subliminal way
but sunshine mellows me

you, the fulcrum of my thoughts,
make anger rush out.
come, let me hold you close,
let me exist in a fool's paradise.
