Such things are good for bringing back memories.
It is amazing how things we have, old and new, bring back memories and thoughts of days gone by.
I am sure these are pleasant bygones..
simple and evocative...!
Yes, one object can recall a thousand memories, very nice, thanks.
Time has a way of corrupting memories.
Beautiful.Bygones are never really so. Well put in words.
Talismans speak in different voices on different days. Really like the softness here that suggests deeper shadows.ELizabeth
That happens so often to me: an object or color will trigger strong memories.
It is nice to have things around that trigger memories!http://inthecornerofmyeye.blogspot.com/2010/06/contemplation.html
A wonderful take on both prompts (OSI and Writer's Island)! It's amazing the power of a small object when it brings back memories. Thanks for sharing!-Weasel

"sits light in the darkest corner" - wonderful - I could see it glowing!
Very wonderfully said, Tami. Had I an ochre mugpretty in its own wayin-law would break it..
Very poetic. But I don't agree with that note about English haiku: neither 5-7-5 not 6-8-6 is correct, for every verse has its own cadence.Best wishesRalf
I bet it could tell a tale or two!Neat and to the point.
It's interesting how objects can stir the memory. Nicely done.
I like this, a lot. It explains why I keep a load of tat around the house. Memories. Like the wonky pottery figure of a lady in a hat (re-stuck many times) that my son made early in his school years.
I love this!
It's interesting how some of the most mundane objects bring back our memories. I like this.-Nicole
Tami, this is a great read and reminder how we link the past with objects. Well done.Melanie
gathering dust in the odd way our precious items do when we turn around and view the memory within...
