.."rabbit looks
ReplyDeleteaskance-
I stop suddenly"..
really liked this..
thanks for sharing these..
From the whimsical to the sublime. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteLove how you have captured the spirit of passing thoughts! A real sense of passing time with quite a sensitive twist at the end! Delightful!
ReplyDeleteAll of these are thrilling. How a rabbit can make me stop, too. The power of silent gentleness, perhaps?
ReplyDelete"If only I had time to read you" stuns me. It's wonderful.
Thanks.
You write haiku too well. Nice to read them. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful, and I just love the last!
ReplyDeleteI'll be the first to give love to the peanut verse! loved that but the last one touched me very deeply too.
ReplyDeleteThese leave much to think about. When I worked full time and schooled full time I wrote a novel.
ReplyDeleteJust try and you will most likely do.
"If only I had time
ReplyDeleteto read you-
now I just feel you"
enjoyed the read, but I am feeling you on the ending.
Ahh, time. How many times a day do I wish for more of it?
ReplyDeleteThat last one stopped me even more surely than a rabbit! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteEach of these speak of much. Couldn't choose a favorite!
ReplyDeleteI love how you wrapped up the poem to reflect the first senryu. It was delightful. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the "sestina" one too, as I can feel your "pain/frustration" of sestinas. I'm just terrible with form poetry. Maybe one of these days when I'm out of school and find more time, I'll attempt again.
Gautami, thank you sincerely for visiting my poetry site. I now have the time to return the visit, and I do apologize for getting back to you at a late time! My apologies.
Anyway, I so do enjoyed this set of haiku/senryu. :)
It is time we all need,
ReplyDeleteNice original post!
Your first one and your last one are my favorites. I can relate to both.
ReplyDeleteWe should all be like the lowly peanut:
ReplyDelete"peanut will sprout
anywhere
it only needs a will"
!
JUST write haiku? ; )
ReplyDeleteKeep it up, gautami.
Keep haiku-ing and before long you'll have a novel - this is a lovely set of wonder, wisdom and wish.
ReplyDeleteThis is a feeling reading.
ReplyDeletegautami--
ReplyDeletethese were all sweet and pungent--like...cardamom, i think--
liked the last one best!
thank you!
A couple of those were really funny, Gautami. The first one and the sestina one had me smiling really big today at work :)
ReplyDeletehonestly, there is nothing "just" about your haiku...it is wonderful! (though i am sure i would be just as captured by a novel by you as well!)
ReplyDeleteThese were excellent Tami! Sestina made me chuckle. lol XXOOO
ReplyDeleteas if laying on one's back, surrounded by green grass, reading the shapes of clouds, talking outloud... i wonder when love blossoms we stop reading and just feel our way through... a most enjoyable day...
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. I enjoy the connection you made with the earth-
ReplyDeletenice series.
ReplyDeletekeep it going.
minimalist with lot of depth.

Tami, how truly sad and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour words "If only I had time
