other foot

chocolate
propels one to sin
I fly high
indulging in hedonist delight
you never bought me other shoe
I limped the streets
your lover watching from the boulevard
laughed at my dilemma
I loved the feel of air, sunlight
on my unshod foot-
catching myself in random visors

"who needs more than one sexy pump?"

  5. I am a complete chocoholic. The thoughts swirling around in my head right now are too sinful to leave here, so I'll just smile and say...nice one Gautami!

Such a gorgeous chocolate shoe image, and words your heart and mind were swept away to.

  8. There is definitely humour here..and a little defiance..I love the attitude of the naked foot..as much as the one in the decadent pump..Jae

  12. Gautami,

The single-shoe hobble is both a frustration, the search for the other, and a need to remove the one.

What can I say? We're torn in our actions in every which-way.
