night sounds

fraught with such distraught
in darkness he touched her arm;
said, dispel my insomnia

  1. Yes, it's amazing how distraught we can feel when in the throes of insomnia...beautifully put!

  2. lovely sounds and evocative scene...

    fraught, distraught with such
    in darkness he touched her arm;
    said, dispel my insomnia

    because otherwise it would ahve to be "distress" not distraught, right?

  6. ad hoc

    fraught and overwrought
    in darkness distraught she taught,
    fought, tripped up on her dropped chalk

  16. The sincere plea is so evident in this. It makes me feel guilty for the times I told my husband I'd rather sleep than talk. Thank you for sharing this.
