unconnected moments---Writers Island

Writing about moments is in itself a moment. Any present moment is already a past. Here I write about unconnected moments.

picture unfolds as thoughts behold
unknown forgotten moments;
transient, fleeting past
takes a sudden hold.

‘what’ never gets asked,
‘why’ has been let go-
‘how’ recedes into nothing.

unconnected experiences,
momentarily forsaken-
strangely enriching.

  2. I like this poem. So much can happen in a moment - and you're right, they are so fleeting. Your second stanza says so much...

  5. i see the beauty and the unsung wisdom in your verse,, yet i do believe that every moment in time has made us who we are,, and thus cannot be washed away.... to do so would mean so much wasted time...

  6. I agree that each moment is past before you can experience. Slow down and be the moment.

  14. I wish I was prepared to write now that I'm back but I need to make the rounds. ;)

How cool you are a Tammy too! I'm really a Tamara but it just never fit.

It's great to see you are in tip top form. Wonderful words!

    I've missed all of this!

  15. I guess it's easier to remember the moments when you're in it but when it's gone - it's gone. Wonderfully written.

  18. Such moments await for our visit once in a while, to get re-connected with the past. Though we could not te-live them, still we can celebrate the moments by reminiscing ~ and oh, the joy it brings!

    I wish you well.

  19. I like this so much, I can't even begin to pick a line or two to praise. This really speaks to me. I'd like to hang it on my wall, in fact.

  27. If I could find out how to write so much in so few words I'd bottle it and sell it! Once again, a gem.
