surface

in the safety of the forest
I find the strength from bees
who balance out nature
eloquent in their silence
rapidly cleaning dew from the flowers
they make a point
in a motionless way
(life is good for the bees)

"why do I need a swivel chair?
is that going to uplift me from my current position
someone tell me, how did these chairs come about?"

  1. Love the meditation on bees, and your swivel chair comment really turned my head (sorry, can't resist a bad pun). Seriously though, good write.

  7. I'm not sure I understand this one, but it's compelling. Maybe that's WHY it's compelling. Thanks for writing it; thanks for sharing it.

  8. They work so busily to balance out nature yet their sting is such a sacrifice.

    Lovely.

  17. I think there is lots to be observed and learned from nature. The photo captivated me. So much to ponder about it.

  25. As always, you leave me thinking and curious. Because I'm disabled, swivel chairs are somewhat of a godsend. That may be where they started.

  29. Unlike bees who do not need swivel chairs, we are inherently lazy.

  30. Dear Gautaumi: How beautifully stated and disjointed the first stanza from the last...similar to the painting...nature versus our nature...interesting!

  31. I confess, I was so caught by the bees that I completely missed the swivel chair until I read other comments.

I love that also, and the delightful conflation of the two.
