not much to recommend
hollow walls never tell tales
although brook in the woods does
I never notice leaping birds in rocky path
dry land does not interest them
when we get to listen to phantom screams
the walls will fall apart
no marriage can survive closed walls
"new walls will be built out of silence
why do I wish for that, I wonder"
hollow walls... wishing for stone walls. Great poem. Very sorry to hear about your eye situation. I wish you good health, and soon! Rest!

Gautami,
ReplyDeleteGood one. We can wait, please do not strain yourself. May God bless you with full recovery soon.
Take care
so pretty. Hope you are feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteI love these lines especially:
ReplyDeletewhen we get to listen to phantom screams
the walls will fall apart
i would not want silence to come between me and anyone as a wall...it is in my opinion more of a weapon than a wall...and selfish...
ReplyDeleteNicely crafted metaphor, Gautami.
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking writing again.
ReplyDeleteHope your eye is mending.
The brook! I'm shocked! I trusted it to hold it's tongue and the wretched thing does nothing but babble.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you'd been poorly - look after yourself and get well soon.
