Stilling time

Bundi, Rajasthan

within the ruined castle
behind the colossal pillars
silhouettes on the walls
come alive in the middle
of a dark moonless night.

misted glass twist the mind
with whirlwind of thoughts
making one feel palpable

time lurks
in its confines,
escape route closing forever.

.......................................................................

I wrote it as a writing exercise for two word challenge..Jan 15, 2007 yesterday.

  2. Thanks firebird. I had stopped writing for word challenges. I needed to do this for making myself write.

I think I have succeeded in unblocking myself.
