Crumbling with time....Ecphrasis



What use is this mausoleum built of stone?
Which will anyway crumble with time.
I will use words to shroud my rotting bone.
Neither do I want pyramids as a shrine.
Wishing by the light of sun and moon,
Rustling winds whispering name that’s mine

When one writes prose or poetry inspired by a painting or a photograph or an image of any sort it is known as Ecphrasis.
